Regina 86th Fall Camp

This year’s Fall Group Camp will be a salute to the Wild Wild West.

We will be camping at Dunnet Regional Park from Friday, Sept 27th to Sunday Sept 29th.

Activities will include:

  • canoeing

  • branding

  • lassoing

  • searching for treasure

  • learning how to hitch a horse

  • making a cowboy hat

  • and much much more

The camp will be free for all registered members of the Regina 86th, with a $10 fee for any non-registered participants (parents/siblings) who would like to come out for the weekend.

Scout Permit Camp

The Scouts will be camping at High Hills Scout camp this weekend to kick start the new Scout year.

We will be working on our permits for knife, axe, saw, stove and lantern and fire lighting.

The Scouts will also be building their own shelters to sleep in.

The cost to attend this camp is $25 to cover the food and campsite rental costs.

Kub Kar Rally

Kub Kar Rally

The annual Kub Kar rally will be held at the Craven Curling Club on April 13th, 2019.

The event will run from 1 pm to approximately 4 pm and the Cubs will compete in several categories including speed, distance, stopping on the spot, straight line and design.

Each Cub will receive a badge, a hot dog, a drink and an afternoon of fun.

There will be a concession on hand for anyone wanting extra snacks.

Tickets are $25.00 each, youth will receive $9.00 back in credits /ticket sold.

Meal Includes Steak , Greek Potatoes, Veggie, Ceasar Salad & Garlic Toast. 

( Meal can be subbed for anyone who has dietary needs, but they need to know in advance so they can be prepared) 

Drink is not included. 

We will need Volunteers to step up to work Raffle n Silent Auction. Starting at 4pm to set up. 

We will need 4 people/hr, 2 for raffle table, 2 to go around to sell tickets. 

The 50/50 ticket sales are going to be managed by the Pacific Jamboree team.

The Regina 86th Fall Camp will be held at Dunnet Regional Park on the weekend of September 28 to 30th. This camp is open to youth from all sections.

Drop off will be at 7pm on Friday and pick up at 10am on Sunday.

The theme of the camp will be Ancient Egypt. There will be tons of crafts, games and STEM activities to keep the kids busy.

The cost to attend will be $25 per person.

Saskatchewan Cub Camp

The 2018 Saskatchewan Cub Camp will be held at the Anglin Lake Scout Camp on the weekend of June 1st to 3rd.

Third year Beavers and Cubs are welcome to attend as participants and Scouts and Venturers are welcome to attend as offer of service to help run the camp.

Cost for Cub and Scouters participating in the camp is $40 plus transportation and for Offer of Service Scouts, Venturers and Scouters is $30 plus transportation.

The theme of the camp is "Spies".

The Regina 86 will be hosting an all section group camp at Rowan's Ravine on the weekend of May 4th to 6th.

The theme of the camp is Survivor.  The youth will be divided into teams and will be going through a series of games and challenges to test their ability to work as a team and to use their scouting skills

The cost of the camp is $20 per person.

The Venturers have invited the Cubs to join them for a camp at Rowan's Ravine Provincial Park.  The theme will be Arts and Crafts in the Outdoors

Activities will include painting, photography, lashing projects, building an obstacle course or play structure, glow in the dark light painting and creative fire lighting.

The camp will be from April 27 to 29th.

Cost to attend is $20.

Steak Night Fundraiser

Our Annual Steak night will be held at the Barley Mill on Rochdale from 5 to 10 on March 24, 2018.  There will be a 50/50, raffle and silent auction.

Tickets are $25 - currently sold out.

We are looking for donations for the raffle and silent auction, as well as for people to sell 50/50's and raffle tickets.  Please let us know if you are able to lend a hand.

The Cubs are going to be exploring Italy, Australia, Mexico and Ireland this Friday during our sleepover.

Each lair has chosen a country to learn about and will be preparing dishes from their countries, playing games and making crafts.

We will be at Heritage United Church on Rochdale Blvd.

All Section Ice Fishing / Winter Fun Day

The Regina 86th will be having a day of Ice Fishing and Winter Fun at the Regina Beach Pier on February 3rd.

Activities will include snow soccer, a hike, milk jug curling, rubber boot throwing contests, tug of war, snow volcanoes, ice rescue demonstration and practice and of course ice fishing.

A hot dog lunch will be provided.

Please ensure that youth dress appropriately for the weather as we will be outside all day. 

Please bring chairs and water bottles as well.

Parents and siblings are welcome to join as well.  The cost of the event will be $5 per person.

The Beavers and Cubs will be camping at the Regina Wildlife Federation building on January 20-21st.

There will be nature hikes, paracord crafts and other fun activities including pellet guns and axe throwing for the Cubs.

The cost of the camp will be $20 per person to cover the badge, food and rental of the hall.

The planned menu is pizza lunch, hot dogs and macaroni for supper and pancakes and sausages for breakfast.

On the weekend of October 27th, the Cubs will be invading the High Hills Scout Camp west of Lumsden for our Adventure Camp.

The planned activities include archery, throwing axes, pellet guns, building tarp shelters and forts, fire building and some STEM experiments with chemical reactions.

The Camp planning and Prep meeting will be October 24 where the Cubs will pick the menu and learn what and how to pack for the camp.

Cubs are welcome to come for the day or the whole weekend.

The Regina 86th will be taking part in the Annual Food Bank drive again this year.

The Beavers will meet at 9:15 am at the Fire Hall on Broad St and 9th Ave N

The Cubs, Scouts and Venturers will be meeting at the Fire Hall at 2700 Arens Road.

We will be going through the neighborhoods on our assigned maps and collecting the food left out in the special bags provided by the food bank.

All youth should be in uniform for this event.
