The Regina 86th group celebrates the birthday of Lord Baden Powell, first Chief Scout of the Boy Scouts annually in February around his birthday.  This year the supper will be held on February 24th at Heritage United Church.  This event is for the whole family.  Supper is a potluck and we are asking the Beaver families to bring a main dish.  There will also be appetizers, salads and dessert.  A ham and roast will be provided by the Regina 86th group.  Further details will be provided in February.

Steak Night Fundraiser:

The Regina 86th group also holds an annual steak night fundraiser to assist youth who are saving to attend a jamboree or other Scouting event.  The steak night will be on March 19th, 2016 at the Barley Mill.  Tickets are $25 each and each family is asked to purchase two tickets, which can be resold.  Additional tickets are available if you wish to make a night out and bring your family and friends.  There will also be a silent auction, raffles and 50/50 tickets.  We are seeking donations for raffles. VOLUNTEERS:

We are always looking for new volunteers - come join the fun! At the end of this year we will see some volunteers "swimming up" from Beavers to Cubs.  In order to maintain the required adult to child ratio we will need new recruits.  We will also be asking for parent helpers over the next few months to help out at weekly meetings.  If you are already attending the meeting and enjoy helping out why not apply to be a Scouter? If interested in helping out, please contact Karla Worsley at 306.581.4105 or by email at k.worsley@myaccess.ca

COMMUNICATIONS:

Just as a reminder, we are communicating using the Remind App.  The Remind App is used to communicate reminders prior to the meetings as well as any urgent matters, e.g. planned meeting changes.  If you wish to receive texts through the Remind App please e-mail me your cell phone number.  You can also follow us on Twitter at @regina86th or visit our website at www.regina86.com.  Our newsletters will be posted there and you can see what the other sections are doing.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
